Wine’s Anvil

In the first novel Wine’s Anvil, this epic adventure of the ancient sea begins with a daring quest of a Phoenician royal family. They struggle to keep their trade routes to the Pillars of Tartessus a secret for one more generation in veneration of their beloved goddess.

The voyage will carry them to the edges of the known world. Crossing the Mediterranean to the legendary land of Carthage and beyond, a black-wine sage of the Mysteries joins their expedition. Both the wise and foolish alike must contend with heartless pirates, unforgiving weather, and troubled oracles along the way. On the horizon? Cyprus. Crete. Sicily. Spain. Myths. Prophets. Ghosts and seers. The fate of their beloved goddess hangs in this epic balance of tidal forces.

Along the way, they unravel the mysteries of the immortal grapevine to discover how a plant will entangle royalty and how wine will come to be a god itself.
